THE LUDICROUSNESS THAT HAS BECOME DANGEROUS FOR US ALL

ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ (GREEK) TÜRKÇE (TURKISH)

What is happening around us has nothing to do with the Palestinians, nor with the Israelis. Both have been dragged into this new conflict. It has to do with the battle that the Axis is fighting to destabilise our region and impose itself through the chaos it is causing.

Last October, things were, for many at least, unclear. And this did not only concern the useful idiots, the voluntarily lobotomised of the long gone Real Socialism on the one hand, and the uninformed, on the other.

In those days and especially the ones that ensued with brainwashing via Tik Tok and other social media by the well-tuned machine of the new Third Way – of the dark China of concentration camps and the surveillance of citizens at their every step, of Russia of the corrupt oligarchs and Putler, of Iran of the perverted mullahs, of Turkey of the imaginary Pasha and the rest – in those days then, it was logical and expected that some people would be influenced.

And yes, surely no one expected that the worst anti-Semitic crime after the Holocaust would be followed the very next day, by a wave of anti-Jewish hatred also unprecedented since 1945, before Israel had even reacted to the atrocities of October 7.

At that time though, there was an understanding for those who placed October 7 in the actual context of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

There was an understanding for those who – at the time – could not understand that what is happening in the Middle East today is much deeper and orchestrated by this dark axis, especially Iran, which, in order to derail Israel’s rapprochement with Saudi Arabia, had to do something. A rapprochement that would bring, and perhaps will bring – because it has not been completely derailed yet – unprecedented global changes in the region, weakening Iran and the rest of the axis of dictators and lunatics.

It was still understood then.

In the months that followed, however, with the Iranian leadership gradually admitting what many had been saying from day one, that it planned October 7, training the mastermind of the attacks, Mohammed Deif, who has fortunately been sent to “heaven” recently – but also along with everything else, the countless things, leaving no shadow of a doubt about what is being attempted and what is at stake in our region – the leeway of understanding for everyday people who do not fall into the two categories we were talking about at the beginning, is definitively lost. Fortunately, these people are also becoming fewer.

And for the rest of us, for the many that both understand what is happening and prioritise it as the most important of their ideologies or even their ideologisms, that is, as it is, a dilemma arises: how do they deal with this ongoing attempt to eliminate the Western presence in the region and the dominance of these powers with all that this entails? How does their life really look like in such an environment that will be characterised by unfreedom and the wishes of all of these [powers]?

What is happening around us has nothing to do with the Palestinians, nor with the Israelis. Both were dragged into this new conflict by those who planned it. It has to do with the battle that the Axis is fighting to destabilise our region and impose itself through the chaos it is creating.

History, perhaps reassuringly, reminds us that it is difficult to change things that have been eternally in place and this is why this effort will not be easy. It is unlikely for Iran, for example, to allow Turkey to get more than its “due”, although we should of course be facing this possibility with a multiplicity of fears. Nor will the Arabs allow it to do so.

Both view Ankara’s attempt to gain a foothold in the Middle East with fear, while the Arabs are trying in every way to limit Iran’s influence in the region, which is clearly the greatest threat to them.

But nothing is guaranteed, nor is it a given. Situations change and are overturned, especially in an international environment which, at least as far as concerns us and is in our interest (much less that of the Axis), remains fluid. Which limits our ability to react and defend ourselves by far.

What we have been experiencing since October is the culmination of an undeclared war which looks like yet another episode in the Middle East crisis, the most serious one in decades. Unfortunately, it is not only that, this is not even the main issue. It is a much broader game through which a radical change of the facts is being attempted, in such a way that the last bastions of the West, in essence Israel and us will simply become redundant. There will be no vital space for us.

What is happening in Europe, as well as elsewhere is also part of this effort. It is only that here things are much more catalytic.

Whoever insists on supporting this situation, or undertakes to promote the distraction of people’s attention from its true essence for payment – no matter how general the above approach may be and the fact that it does not cover countless parallel, local and other aspects – is opposing the interests of the free world to which we belong. Culturally and otherwise.

Whether one does so willingly or unwillingly, does not matter.

At such critical moments, what matters is the outcome. As well as the fact that there no longer is any justification at all for an approach that is extremely damaging to democracy, to freedom and, ultimately, to the survival of us all.
