(That is, obviously yes).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ideologically, only the communist AKEL is against NATO membership!<br \/>\nPolitical groups on the TRNC side?<br \/>\nNobody is going to ask them anything, that&#8217;s clear!<br \/>\nEven if they do, it will take forever till the Turkish Cypriots decide on this issue&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a matter, which I am very curious about!<br \/>\nLet me tell you straight away: What do the heroic members and current followers of EOKA and TMT, founded by Gladio, the famous underground organisation of the guardian of capitalism in the early days of NATO, say; what do they think?<br \/>\nIf Turkey says \u2018yes\u2019, what will those in the same frequency as TMT in particular say?<br \/>\nA great curiosity!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine, if Cyprus becomes a member of NATO, the Greek Cypriot National Guard, the Security Forces Command and the The Cyprus Turkish Peace Force Command will take part together in the military exercises in Troodos, or Pentadaktylos!<br \/>\nSounds like the likelihood that all the black crows in the country are white, doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also comment: \u201cAh, evils of capitalism and imperialism\u2026 The things you can do!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What happens if Cyprus becomes a member of NATO?<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t know!<br \/>\nI think it depends on what kind of negotiations Turkey will make, but there will most certainly not be two separate and equal sovereign states in Cyprus!<br \/>\nI am sure of it, brother Tahsin!<br \/>\n(Here I refer to the Honourable Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to a report in the Cyprus Mail, it is currently not possible for Cyprus to join NATO due to Turkey&#8217;s objections.<br \/>\nHowever, according to president Christodoulides, if Cyprus joins NATO, the defence capabilities of its army, the Greek Cypriot National Guard, will be upgraded!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actually, if Cyprus becomes a NATO member, military service in Cyprus should be abolished!<br \/>\nCan&#8217;t our NATO partners, Turkey and Greece, deal with this defence issue Girye Proedros (Mr. President)?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a well known fact that the US supports Cyprus&#8217; membership of NATO&#8230;<br \/>\nWhat is unknown is what Turkey will say about this!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another unknown is the effect of all of this on the \u2018peace process\u2019 on the ethnically divided island, one side of which is \u2018utilized\u2019 by NATO member Turkey!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also clear as daylight that Cyprus cannot become a member of NATO because of Turkey&#8217;s objections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is one issue that is open to comment; the geographical position of Cyprus&#8230;<br \/>\nThis pain-in-the-neck of an island is located in such a place that every imperialist power has been playing <em>lingiri<\/em> on it for centuries!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is <em>Lingiri<\/em>?<br \/>\nSomeone should tell the Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia&#8230;<br \/>\nOr, let&#8217;s put it this way, Mr. Serim; this is like a version of cricket\u2014unlike the way it is in Britain and their former colonies\u2014played without a ball where you can also use sticks and stones and so on&#8230;<br \/>\nI can demonstrate it for you in the garden of the embassy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whatever!<br \/>\nCyprus&#8217; NATO membership requires the co-operation of both NATO and the EU&#8230;<br \/>\nTurkey is an influential member of the first one, but its relationship with the second one seems to be vague!<br \/>\nTherefore, it looks like this issue will seriously affect the future of the island in the coming period&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, where is Ersin Tatar in this very important process?<br \/>\nLeave him alone, the man has a ton of problems!<br \/>\nAnyway!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My personal opinion?<br \/>\nIsn&#8217;t the island already under the absolute control of NATO, in one way or another, since 1955?<br \/>\n(The foundations of NATO were laid in 1949&#8230;)<br \/>\nNATO founded both EOKA and TMT!<br \/>\nWasn&#8217;t the first and main goal of both of them to prevent Cyprus from becoming the Cuba of the Eastern Mediterranean?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weren&#8217;t the CIA, MI6 and even M\u0130T, and their Greek Cypriot, or Turkish Cypriot \u2018representatives\u2019 on the island, NATO operatives?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So what will I do if the Republic of Cyprus becomes a member of NATO?<br \/>\nI can&#8217;t do anything!<br \/>\nI will just watch and laugh!<br \/>\nI will say, so this is how the big bosses decided now; then I will take a piss and go to sleep&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">_____________________________________________________<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three memories<\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Captain Kutragos\u2026<br \/>\nHe was one of the directors of Asil Nadir&#8217;s big shipping company, PPI Lines.<br \/>\nA Greek citizen\u2026<br \/>\nI met him in London&#8230;<br \/>\nWe had many conversations&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was the late 90s&#8230;<br \/>\nHe invited me to lunch somewhere.<br \/>\nThere was also a gentleman in his 80s at the dinner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That gentleman had told me that he was from South Africa, and that a group of people including him had prepared many of the trainings offered first to EOKA and then to TMT&#8230;<br \/>\nHe said that they provided bomb training first to EOKA and then to TMT\u2026<br \/>\nHe claimed that he, himself, had done it all\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-*-*-<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then I met a writer called Brendan O&#8217;Malley&#8230;<br \/>\nThe author of the book, \u2018Cyprus Conspiracy\u2019&#8230;<br \/>\nTassos Papadopoulos was the President in those days&#8230;
