{"id":4136,"date":"2022-10-07T14:45:25","date_gmt":"2022-10-07T11:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/penna.cydialogue.org\/?p=4136"},"modified":"2022-10-20T10:17:04","modified_gmt":"2022-10-20T07:17:04","slug":"the-threshold-of-greed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/penna.cydialogue.org\/the-threshold-of-greed\/","title":{"rendered":"THE THRESHOLD OF &#8220;GREED&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p>When talking about the <strong>\u201cstarvation line\u201d<\/strong>, I raised a question: What is the limit of <strong>\u201cSatiety\u201d<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>Let me make myself a bit clearer:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cThe threshold of Greed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because if this society keeps silent about the <strong>\u201cgreedy\u201d<\/strong>, those hungry will never get their turn.<br \/>\nPoverty will never be an issue if we don\u2019t define the limits of <strong>\u201csatiety\u201d<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not talking about having a full stomach.<br \/>\nOf course, I\u2019m talking about insatiability!<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>A friend of mine visiting from abroad, asked me the following question after spending a few nights out:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cYou\u2019re always complaining but every restaurant and tavern I went to was full, and people were drinking like crazy.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nOf course, then there is the<strong> \u201cinvisible\u201d<\/strong> majority&#8230;<br \/>\nIt\u2019s really interesting how that segment [<em>of society<\/em>] always sides with nationalism which imposes this life of poverty on them&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>And also, if we\u2019re wining and dining every night, it&#8217;s generally because we are trying to drown our sorrows (!)<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Writer Besim F. Dellao\u011flu says, <strong>\u201cSocieties which don\u2019t produce enough, which don\u2019t produce qualitatively, are societies which suffer from a low level of creativity\u201d<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In another article of his, he makes the following assessment: <strong>\u201cSocieties which are too content with their ethnic identity, their religion, their religious sect and their ideology, in other words, if their identities surpass their personalities, such societies also suffer from a lack of creativity.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We live in a place where those who consume outnumber those who produce.<br \/>\nWe have an overabundance, not of those who are creative but of those who complain&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd know-it-alls&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>If we were to quote Besim F.
