{"id":5238,"date":"2022-10-26T10:32:44","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T07:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/penna.cydialogue.org\/?p=5238"},"modified":"2022-11-04T10:06:53","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T07:06:53","slug":"playing-the-game-by-its-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/penna.cydialogue.org\/playing-the-game-by-its-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"PLAYING THE GAME BY ITS RULES"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p>There are power elites who complain but also <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>play the game by its rules<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The corruption report once again revealed that we are \u201c<strong>rotten<\/strong>\u201d.<br \/>\nActually, it\u2019s not only politics that is rotten!<br \/>\nMoreover, it\u2019s not right to generalize and say its <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>politics<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong>&#8230;<br \/>\n<strong>What we have experienced over the past two years is obvious; the slaughtering of democracy, [<em>party<\/em>] congress ploys, tender gangs, high-level administrators who are constantly replaced, partisanship, favouritism-based governance, decay weaved into <\/strong><strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>nationalist<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> <strong>sentiment, mediocrity and depravity&#8230;<\/strong><br \/>\nWe need to differentiate between what is good and bad, what is beautiful and ugly, what is real and what is deception.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>What really hurts is that those who say \u201cI gave a bribe so that my job gets done\u201d also vote for those they bribed.<br \/>\nThey say that the <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>government is serving a number of power groups,<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> but they fail to reveal who those power elites are.<br \/>\nWe all know them&#8230;<br \/>\nThese circles, which sustain the <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>status quo<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> appear before us in all forms!<br \/>\nAnd generally, they pretend to be <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>against<\/strong><strong>\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>***<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I listened to the presentation of the Report on <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>Corruption Perceptions in North Cyprus<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> yesterday prepared by academics \u00d6mer G\u00f6k\u00e7eku\u015f and Serta\u00e7 Sonan, supported by the Freidrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Cyprus.<br \/>\nAre you curious about where the northern part of Cyprus stands?<br \/>\n<strong>Mauritania.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Myanmar.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Pakistan.<\/strong><br \/>\nIt stands among these countries&#8230;<br \/>\n140<sup>th<\/sup> amongst 180 countries&#8230;<br \/>\nThe <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>perception of corruption<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> in Kenya, Angola, and Liberia is lower!<br \/>\nEven in Turkey!..<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s more than just a <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>perception<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> now&#8230;<br \/>\nThose who participated in the research are openly saying, <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>I gave bribes to be granted or to secure leases of public land or buildings<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong>&#8230;<br \/>\nThose receiving the bribes are happy&#8230;<br \/>\nSo are those giving them!<br \/>\nIs it not the same when it comes to hiring people?<br \/>\nMost of those who make a racket later are those who were hired without vacancies, exams, competitions or equality.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>We have all experienced and witnessed it together.<\/p>\n<p>Whoever has been selling their soul&#8230;<br \/>\nIs surrendering their morality&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd their names are involved in great scandals&#8230;<br \/>\nFirst and foremost!<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yeniduzen.com\/oyunu-kuralina-gore-oynamak-19753yy.htm\">PLAYING THE GAME BY ITS RULES<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-bottom-left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/penna.cydialogue.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5238?print=print\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-print\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/penna.cydialogue.org\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/print.png\" alt=\"image_print\" title=\"Print Content\" \/><span class=\"pdfprnt-button-title pdfprnt-button-print-title\">Print<\/span><\/a><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are power elites who complain but also \u201cplay the game by its rules\u201d.
