They made such a ruckus that I came to the point where I almost said, “This Peacekeeping Force has really gone bonkers”!

I mean why aren’t they letting the kids into the field?

And I didn’t see an official statement either…

-*-*-

Then I took a look at the Facebook page of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus…

The issue doesn’t seem to be the way it was exaggerated…

-*-*-

Actually the matter is quite simple:

The UN Peacekeeping Force in summary is saying;

“Access to the pitch is as it used to be in the past. There have been no changes made. As it was in the past, access can only be through the crossing points agreed upon by the two sides. We are ensuring violations are prevented and the status of the buffer zone is protected. We are working with both sides to facilitate civilian access to the buffer zone and we are committed to work with the two sides.”

-*-*-

In short, the UN Peacekeeping Force is not allowing the creation of new access points to the Taksim Field.

So sit down, discuss and reach an agreement!

No! “We’ll take care of it” is what our hawks are saying!

-*-*-

The hawks actually have one goal: “To create tensions”…

Well, then whose interests do these tensions serve?

Quite obviously not ours!

Well then, are those creating the tensions idiots?

No, they’re not; “What can they do, they’re Erdoğan’s bootlickers!”

Ah that EOKA B ahhhh!!!!

The man is saying, “Criticize the Greek Cypriots as well… you don’t criticize them at all…” -*-*-

Secondly: Let’s say I’m not criticizing them; would I be wrong for not doing so? -*-*-

Come out if I say Geçitkale [Lefkoniko], eat an apple if I say Lefkoniko! [Translator’s note: based on a Turkish rhyme for children] -*-*-

I think Mr Asil [Nadir] didn’t know either… -*-*-

Anyway! -*-*-

One last question; Anastasiades is stepping down soon… The Economist: Erdoğan could foment fiercer territorial quarrels with Greece and Cyprus

The prestigious weekly British journal The Economist, in its latest edition dated January 21, 2023, published an article on Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s regime. -*-*-

The cover of The Economist was prepared by Eiko Ojala. Ojala’s front page illustration shows the crescent on the Turkish flag merging into Erdoğan’s silhouette.

-*-*-

The Economist said “Turkey is on the edge of becoming a full-blown dictatorship,” calling on Western leaders to speak out against Erdoğan’s ‘anti democratic’ moves while saying it was not too late “to pull Erdoğan back from the brink.”

-*-*-

According to The Economist, “Western leaders” or the “US and the EU”, “…have too often held back from criticizing Erdoğan for fear of alienating a pivotal if troublesome ally.”

-*-*-

Again, according to The Economist, “… No one wants a country as important as Turkey to go completely ‘rogue’. All are aware that a resentful, isolated Turkish president could do great mischief. He could foment fiercer territorial quarrels with Greece and with Cyprus…”

-*-*-

This point is extremely important! -*-*-

Yes, perhaps Kasoulides might be right to a certain degree; It would be easier [to start a war] with minds like Tatar and Tahsin [Ertuğruloğlu] at the helm, which is another disgrace!

-*-*-

And can you please take a look at where we’re at? [Photo insert: Cover of The Economist dated January 21-27, 2023, with the headline “Turkey’s looming dictatorship: A special report on Erdoğan’s empire.”]

Source: WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF TENSION AT TAKSIM FIELD?

Firstly: I criticize them quite a bit, it’s clear that this person doesn’t follow [me], he is just trolling me…

Because, is it the Greek Cypriots who have been tricking us all these years?

Is it the Greek Cypriots who are telling our women, “You should be your men’s slaves”?

Is it the Greek Cypriots who are trying to use us for political, strategic and economic interests?

I know you’re going to get angry when I ask this but, “Is it the Greek Cypriots who are exploiting us?”

Do you see?

A truly Martin Niemöller situation…

People never knew that “one day it will be the turn of those who remain silent in the face of today’s injustices”!

It’s as if the words that began with, “First they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist…” were written for Mr Asil…

My dears, get off my case; please take a look at yourselves:

Let’s say that Yorgos, the new Archbishop of the Greek Cypriot Orthodox Church said; “…Turkish Cypriot women will give themselves to their men whenever they ask for it: The Bible commands it so…”

Would “you” or Erhan Arıklı; say: “This is freedom of thought”?

If he were to say, just before he leaves, “Turkish Cypriots are lazy, spoon-fed parasites;

Who would be better, Erdoğan or HIM?

Get over it…

It’s always the Greek Cypriots’ fault!

That’s right!

It is always that wretched EOKA B!

Just sit the hell down!

May God wipe them off the face of this earth!

The headline on the cover reads: “Turkey’s looming dictatorship: A special report on Erdoğan’s empire.”

Pay attention, Cypriot Foreign Minister Kasoulides spoke to Bugün Kıbrıs [online newspaper] and said something like, “If we were to have a Turkish Cypriot leader who supports peace, this could have an impact on Turkey.”

The problem is not with the Turkish Cypriot leadership…

The problem is the essence of the issue…

And The Economist summarized the essence best…

He could start a war in Cyprus if he wishes…

On the one hand, the economy has hit rock bottom; on the other, a gloomy community, without electricity, without roads, without a penny, deceived with non-stop propaganda and lies such as, “social housing will be built, electricity will be brought [from Turkey]”!

And an “Erdoğan” who might start a war any moment “for his own pleasure”…
