Process that began after Özgür Gazete published a news report in recent weeks, titled ‘DIRTY ALLIANCE,’ which hit the public agenda like a bombshell but only entered the secret agenda of politics and related legal circles, continues.
The Bar Association; some activists and lawyers who comment on almost everything regardless of their relevance; the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Police General Directorate have so far remained silent, while the police, prosecutors, lawyers and mafia members mentioned in the audio recordings have not reacted. This scandalous process is being swept under the rug.
But there’s one thing they’ve forgotten: Özgür Gazete!
Because, of course, we will not forget!

If such a scandal were to emerge in another country, I believe the opposition party would overthrow the government within a week.
However, the fact that the opposition (both inside and outside the Parliament) has not yet addressed this issue raises other questions.
Those who make statements on every issue that will not affect the government, let alone overthrow it, and who cannot even cause a minor disturbance, yet manage to secure a place for themselves in the news, their failure to make use of such a powerful story confirms the statement: “The most comfortable place in this country is the opposition; the opposition never wants to be in government.”

I will not keep it long.
The new findings we have obtained reveal a lot about how, when and by whom Ebru Törehan’s name was removed from the file prepared on charges of ‘money laundering’ by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
In fact, they also evoke some ideas regarding the silence of the current Chief Public Prosecutor Sarper Altıncık.
***
We will continue to share with the public the key points of the process in which the Kyrenia Prosecutor’s Office was virtually dismantled, three prosecutors were relocated, and some individuals entered the Chief Prosecutor’s office as if they were entering their own house in an attempt to create the perception of a ‘routine transfer period.’
Perhaps this process will lead us to the case of the ‘famous phone-seller Alas.’ Who knows.
Perhaps we will all end up discussing the case of those who said, “I was going to publish this news but then we came to an agreement with the prosecutor.”
Or, we may discuss the owners of some phones that received such messages as, “You took 100,000 dollars and did nothing.”
***
In short, this is such a deep pit that you can only guess what will come out of it as you dig deeper. It is impossible to predict the outcome with any certainty.
I must admit that when we started digging into this area, we didn’t expect to encounter such widespread corruption.
By the way, I must emphasise this:
There are those who are trying to create a public perception by saying, “These audio recordings and conversations are old news.”
They are right.
They are old.
But they are old and unresolved.
An old case where everyone got away with it.
A secret that everyone, all of you, knew about.
We only found out now because you kept it well hidden for several years.
***
The difference between you and us is that as soon as we found out about it, we documented it and brought it to public attention.
Ask the lawyers who shamelessly say, “We knew about this”: “If you knew about it, then why didn’t you speak up?’
Why would anyone speak up against a fraud ring entrenched in a country’s justice system?
Because they are friends?
Because they don’t want the law to get harmed?
***
All of this is an expression of distress caused by the news reports.
Discrediting the news and the truth is a defence mechanism.
Not being involved in crime is not enough to avoid being guilty and responsible!
Knowing about those who are involved and not speaking up puts you in the same basket!
That is why you are uncomfortable.
You feel uncomfortable because you are not able to clear your own territory of harmful elements, and you feel uncomfortable with those who report the news on behalf of the public with the aim of clearing it.
***
Go ahead and feel uncomfortable.
We will continue to make you feel uncomfortable.
Get used to it.
