ARE YOU REALLY CALLING THIS AN ‘ELECTION’?

This post is also available in: ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ (GREEK) TÜRKÇE (TURKISH)

Are you really calling the stage that will be set in October an ‘election’?

It’s getting dirtier by the day…

It’s getting uglier by the day…

It’s even becoming comical…

The ‘mini state’ in your dirty hands is turning into a ‘joke’…

The AKP regime and its ‘subcontractors’ here seem to have changed their strategy for ‘rigging the election’ in October 2020.

The rigging in 2020 was crude, vulgar and very ‘harsh’…

When going after Akıncı, who ignored threats and stubbornly refused to withdraw his candidacy, methods involving a high dose of ‘violence’ were used.

They must have concluded that this time, there was no need for an ‘intervention’ carried out through the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) agents, the ambassador’s invitation to the White House, and direct threats…

Realising that it could get its way with softer methods in these lands, Ankara saw no need for operations that could be perceived as direct threats for the time being.

It started off by ‘redesigning’ local politics.

More professionally… More subtly…

First, Ersin Tatar was persuaded not to run as the UBP candidate. He was encouraged to run ‘independently,’ and two smaller parties were convinced not to field candidates and to openly support Tatar.

Ersin Tatar’s ‘photoshopped’ posters with Erdoğan became the first visual material of the ‘campaign’…

‘Perception’ management kicked off with the slogan, ‘Crescent and star, we are on the same path’, sent from Ankara.

However, our local politicians couldn’t quite grasp these issues, so they watched from afar and remained silent…

This time, when Ankara chastised them, saying, “Don’t expect everything from me, get moving a,” they rolled up their sleeves…

However, their field of expertise is ‘political bribery’…

They had learned this from their elders, the bigwigs of politics…

Since its inception, the UBP had been operating like a ‘gang of profiteers’ with the motto ‘you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours’…

It was quite experienced in turning ‘sharing the spoils’ into votes.

They had no other skill than using the spoils of war as ‘bribes’…

‘Public officials’ were identified as the first target group. Improvements were made to their salaries.

A certain ‘lethargy’ was instilled in the unions.

For the last two years, everything has been organised in line with the ‘elections’.

First, they travelled from village to village, distributing Greek property as ‘rural land’…

They handed people ‘title deeds’ and posed with them, grinning…

Moreover, they shared these nauseating images of ‘bribery’ on Facebook, reveling in a racist ‘delight’…

They made no secret of how bigoted they were, how much hatred and resentment they spewed, saying, “We distributed Greek property to Turks.”

Then they invented something called a ‘social housing title deed.’

They invited hundreds of citizens who had applied to halls and spread their policy of ‘distribution’…

That wasn’t enough…

They distributed at least three thousand T permits and rental vehicle permits…

That wasn’t enough…

They created a fictitious ‘title’ called the ‘Veteran’ and distributed thousands of ‘Veteran’ cards to whomever they wanted.

That wasn’t enough…

They granted ‘Certification Officer’ permits to 148 people…

That wasn’t enough…

They issued ‘weapon’ permits for at least 600 people…

That wasn’t enough…

One day before the election ban was put into place, they distributed ‘exceptional citizenships’ to 124 people…

For the most ‘exceptional’ case, they also issued a decision from the Council of Ministers…

They granted citizenship to a ‘criminal’ AKP member who, despite not being a citizen, carried out political activities here and was one of the organisers of the ‘lynching’ against Avrupa newspaper on 22 January 2018, describing him as a ‘person of good character’.

That wasn’t enough…

Overnight, they changed the military service law by decree, granting ‘paid military service’ rights to friends and relatives.

That wasn’t enough…

They will distribute ‘direct bribes’ to 10,750 people…

They will distribute 10,000 lira to each of those currently receiving social assistance, those with special needs, families of martyrs, veterans and the disabled…

That wasn’t enough…

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz campaigned for Tatar at coffee meetings in Karpaz, where there is a high concentration of ‘population’ from his own country.

Of course, there were those who couldn’t get their share of this ‘divvying up’…

There were those who cried, those who attacked the UBP, those who resigned…

Some, like Sabahattin İsmail, even called the Prime Minister a ‘fraud’…

The Prime Minister gave them a piece of his mind, saying, “I am a captain of stormy seas.”

Indeed, Ünal Üstel demonstrated that he possesses a ‘skill’ in populism that even surpasses Eroğlu.

Rest assured that he will distribute something to these ‘disgruntled ones’ and silence them…

We cannot overlook the ‘favours’ he has done for his own ministers, his inner circle, and the bureaucrats in this regard.

Especially for certain businessmen…

He did not hesitate for a moment to hand over the ‘Five Mile Beach’ to some people. He immediately punished those who stood in his way.

Meanwhile, do not underestimate the ‘contributions’ of two major supporters, ‘Turkish investors,’ in these elections…

They, too, are involved…

AKSA, which is feeding off from the electricity sector, is on Ersin Bey’s side with its newspaper…

Emrullah Turanlı, who is feeding off from Ercan, had propaganda experts prepare a video like a snippet from ‘the young and the restless’, saying, “let us get a slice of this cake.” He is transforming the TRNC into his ‘father’s farm,’ heralding that we will ‘set sail for new horizons’ with lies and dreams, from agriculture to tourism.

Turanlı is trying to create an ‘image’ for Ersin Tatar by promising to lower the temperature on the island, turn it into an agricultural paradise, and bring about beaches, ports, solar fields, and booming exports.

In short, the AKP has descended upon Cyprus like a spectre.

Every individual who identifies as a ‘Cypriot’ should not accept any of these…

They should not be deceived by electoral bribery and must keep their eyes open enough to see external forces.
