We’ve experienced every kind of disappointment in this country, and we continue to do so. Neither the corruption nor the fiascos, the failures, the evil, the helplessness has ever ended…
Is it even possible to do good in a country where the wicked are held in high regard and evil is normalized?
There is a monstrous system (or order) in this country that is being forced upon us, presented as if it were normal… It is devouring us like a creature that eats its own young.
Due to bad governance, our state and system constantly produce helplessness. We are drowning in helplessness; Northern Cyprus is a land of utter helplessness… However, those who profit from this system want to create the feeling that “we have begun to feel helpless even in the struggle against evil and the wicked,” aiming to break the resistance and the struggle.
We must not fall for this, because on the one hand, the growing number of the evildoers’ collaborators, and on the other, despair, accepting negativity as normal, resigning oneself to fate, and the feeling that “nothing will ever change in this country” will drag us toward oblivion.
While the evil ones have surrounded us on all sides, we as a people are still envying one another, squabbling with one another, and engaging in petty “you versus me” fights. Instead of uniting against the wicked, we are dividing ourselves into factions, splitting apart—exactly as the wicked want…
The wicked have no limits and no intention of stopping… They appear before us with evils we could never even imagine. What about what comes to our minds? Even the devil wouldn’t think of what they’re doing…
Who would have thought they could target journalists who report on corruption, irregularities, and betrayals against the public; politicians who expose the evil ones on social media; representatives of civil society organizations; and citizens—and somehow get their social media accounts suspended, or have their news articles, opinion pieces, and TV programs deleted?
They’ve found a loophole in the AI-powered systems of social media platforms and turned it into a form of attack.
When I say, “Who would have thought?” of course, experts in this field have always considered this a possibility, and even those who aren’t experts know that ‘cyberattacks’ exist and that this threat is always looming over us.
I’m sure everyone knows that one of the most critical issues of our time is establishing security systems against cyberattacks and setting up firewalls.
All of that is fine, but what probably didn’t cross anyone’s mind was the launch of a specific campaign using algorithm manipulation to erase the scandals, failures, corruption, and irregularities of a certain group from the digital realm…
They organized an operation to eliminate everyone who brought their misdeeds against this country to light, or whoever opposed, or criticized them.
Social media accounts are being shut down; the media archives, efforts, and records built up over many years are vanishing. Everyone is currently scrambling to save their accounts; some have managed to do so, but they live in fear of being targeted again, avoiding words the algorithm might catch while searching for synonyms that convey the same meaning…
This is a silencing operation… This is an effort to intimidate and instill fear… They believe that through this evil, they can silence the press, the opposition, civil society, or conscientious citizens, and make people forget the harm they’ve inflicted on this country…
Yes, they’ve caused harm, yes, they’ve demoralized us, yes, they’ve intimidated us—but they won’t succeed in silencing us.
We can see that those who seek to turn criminal laws into a threat and imprison freedom of expression have begun their work with digital attacks…
Those suspected of orchestrating attacks on social media accounts, the individuals and circles implied to be responsible of these attacks, are now attempting to portray themselves as victims through their statements, much like the saying, “A brazen thief can bully the homeowner.”
According to their claims, just like in movies or TV shows that catch you off guard, the perpetrators are people you’d never suspect… In fact, some within the media took advantage of this situation to do it. It’s supposedly the result of a kind of underhanded competition…
Is that really the case? The tracks are all mixed up—you can’t tell horse from dog anymore. I highly doubt that is the case, because everything is crystal clear…
Well, if it turns out tomorrow that the culprit is somehow revealed, and even if the name or names aren’t you—the “usual suspects”—we’ll still find people who have benefited from the pyramid scheme you created and who, indirectly, serve you… So, in a way, it’s still you…
In this land of helplessness, now you’ve also managed to create digital helplessness, but the virus you’ve spread will turn into an antidote that keeps society alive.
You’ve worn this people out enough, but these are your final desperate struggles; this reign won’t last forever—you’ll be gone, and in the future, you’ll be remembered for your evils… I hope nothing you’ve done goes unpunished, and I pray that from now on, the wicked aren’t held in high regard, and that evil doesn’t become ordinary, or normalized…
