THE RACE!

ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ (GREEK) TÜRKÇE (TURKISH)

“Who or whom” are the local elections between?

According to Mr Üstel and Mr Tatar, it is between “those who support a federal solution and those who support the motherland.”

Also according to Mr Tatar and Mr Üstel, it is between those “who walk with Turkey and those who don’t.”

-*-*-

The English say “bullshit” to describe such claims!

Or in other words “nonsense!” …

Or “stupid and false arguments” …

Well then, what is the aim? Of course, to trick people!

-*-*-

Whereas there is no need to exaggerate, the local elections are between mayoral candidates in 16 different towns…

Between the political parties…

The real reason behind the attempts to make the issue one about the motherland is nothing more than a freeloading attempt!

-*-*-

But if they truly want to make this issue about something else, then they need to know that this race is, between those who love their country very much and those bootlickers who only love their posts.

And they need to know, that this race, is between those who have proven their honesty and those who have received a 3-million-dollar bribe from an energy company in Turkey…

-*-*-

This race is not between people from this background or that origin… It is certainly not between those from here and those from there.

-*-*-

This race, is between those who think about the [welfare] of the community and those who think of their pockets

This race is between those who think of people and those who make as if they are thinking about the flag, but who are again trying to fill their pockets.

And this race is between those who are sure that secular democracy is under threat and those who are lackeys of a religious fanatic mentality, cultists that marry off 6-year-old girls.

-*-*-

This race for example, is between those who run to burn off what they ate and those who run to be able to put food on their table.

This race, is between those who cannot buy meat and those who cant have enough”…

-*-*-

This race, is between those who say no to poverty unemployment, and those who refuse to convene the minimum wage committee”…

This race, is between those who genuinely love Famagusta and those bootlickers who have no other purpose than to engage in bootlicking and following the Varosha lie, those who bankrupted the Eastern Mediterranean University in just a few years.

And this race, let me say once again, is between those who love this country very much and those who profit from this country.”

-*-*-

It is my greatest wish that those who love this country unconditionally, without any interest or expectation win

Do they feel no shame, no hesitation?

The TRNC is impartial!!! The President visited Morphou…

He met with a group of war veterans mostly of Turkish origin…

And he asked for votes for the UBP’s [National Unity Party] mayoral candidate…

And as he did, in summary, he said, “If any of the other candidates win, they will give Morphou to the Greek Cypriots and send you back…”

-*-*-

Meanwhile, there were also several citrus growers at the meeting… He probably thought, let me speak to them as well while I’m here, and then used this sentence…

“… The Morphou area has seen great development in the citrus sector following the arrival of water from Turkey”…

-*-*-

However, the project to transport the water from Turkey to Morphou for agricultural irrigation has yet to be completed…

In other words, the water hasn’t arrived yet [in the Morphou area]…

It has reached somewhere close to Kalkanlı (Kalo Kapoutii) and it is not certain whether the project will be completed or not because the money has run out.

Just like the fate of the Külliye. [Translators note: presidential and parliamentary complex pledged to be built by the Turkish government on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot leadership]

They will continue to pretend to build the Külliye until June 2023… and what will happen after that is uncertain…

Because there is no money!

-*-*-

The water has not arrived in Morphou. Had it done so, had there been a great development in citrus production, what he said would have been meaningful…

But what he said about citrus production, is not different from the claim, “if the UBP’s candidate is not elected, they will give Morphou to the Greek Cypriots and ship you back to Turkey”…

It’s not even a lie!

The Külliye is also part of this absurd politics, full of uncertainty!

-*-*-

And can you see the level Turkish Cypriots have fallen to? The level that they have been brought to? All for the sake of a post? If you don’t share your people’s embarrassment or shame, I beg you, at least feel the shame of your children!

This is really a disgrace.

There is no one in charge!

The schools are in filth…

The students are fed up…

But more importantly, their health is at risk…

Is there no one who can take on the responsibility of this incompetent administration?

-*-*-

The new Ambassador is just one of 50 Turkish officials who have promised a 500-bed hospital for Nicosia…

If only someone had mentioned to him the hospital that has been lying abandoned in Morphou for all these years…

If only someone would mention the incomplete building that would be used for those fighting drug and alcohol abuse…

Is there no one in charge of these places?

Is there no one in charge of unfinished health facilities?

-*-*-

And a man in the hospital gets out of his bed…

Goes up on the roof…

Jumps off and dies…

And is there no one responsible for this as well?

Will no one take on the responsibility for the death of this person?

Are you saying, “He was going to die anyway?”

I’m sure there are even those who say, “He is free now”!

And you’re still not thinking of resigning, are you?

Meanwhile, thank God, at least you’re not making nonsense claims on this issue such as, “The Greek Cypriots will massacre us if the motherland leaves…”

[Insert of Yenidüzen front page with the headline: Were swamped in debt, 60% increase in 1 year]

Every child will be born into debt from now on… We’re walking to the future [Translators note: UBP election slogan in the last general elections]; in debt…
