DON’T COMPLAIN, YOU ARE AWARE OF EVERYTHING BUT YOU DO NOTHING…

This post is also available in: ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ (GREEK) TÜRKÇE (TURKISH)

Wherever I go, people tell me about their problems and say, “Write about them.”

Problems… Most of them have not been resolved in years, they have become deep-seated but there are additional ones.

It is not like we can cover them all by writing; before one problem ends, another issue arises…

There are common, and also individually unique problems…

People complain that no matter where they go, or what they do, they are unable to solve their problems.

It is necessary to find a ‘friend in court’, but that is not a solution either.

People are tired of chasing people to gain access to things they have a right to, even for routine tasks that should normally work out smoothly.

It is as if there is no problem-free segment of the population, no problem-free economic sector…

There are serious violations of rights and numerous injustices…

Mafia-type businesses have thrived; shady and odd factions, which threaten every profession, are all around, and unfortunately, we are unable to fight them.

Some people are always moving forward with tricks; those who would like to do their business properly and justly are constantly being pushed back and mistreated.

Many people in the country are dissatisfied with their lives, and those we consider ‘not to have any problems’ are also complaining…

It is as if honorable people are being told to “suit their own book and go astray’…

You have to be very careful not to get into any kind of monkey business, not to get dirty, because everything is covered in filth now…

People you don’t expect are involved in things you don’t expect.

Many people think that there is a serious decline in the country, “we are going through the worst days.”

There are many people who are hopeless, they think that “nothing will get better, it will even get worse.”

They do not only think but they also believe it…

For example, many people are thinking of closing down their businesses, but closing down, even giving up, does not save people.

Giving up is one thing, carrying on is another…

Not only young people, but also adults, middle-aged and elderly people are now thinking of emigrating…

In fact, everyone in the country is aware of everything.

Citizens know what is going on in the country; they are aware of who is bribing, who is involved in illegality, who is protecting criminals, who is making unearned gains, who is up to their neck in crime…

Everyone knows everything, but pretends not to know, and is unable to say, “the king is naked.”

Everyone sees, knows, is aware of everything but ignores it; everyone has lost their tongues, lost the power to put up a fight, and acts like the three wise monkeys—as in, ‘hear-no, see-no, say-no evil’, or I don’t see, I don’t hear and I don’t know…

Well, if you do that, how will your problems be solved? You can’t solve your problems by complaining to yourself… The country can’t get rid of the evil…

There is also fear, everywhere; it is as if we have returned to the 1980s and early 90s… It is as if those days, when fear was utterly dominant, have come back to life…

Of course, there are also a large number of people holding on to the status quo, one way or another… They do not want to let go of what they have grabbed… The status quo has been designed in such a way that it has seized many people; personal interests have come to the fore, and all of this has been done in such a skillful way that it will prevent people from challenging social problems…

We are all toast and yet we are not aware of it; all we know is to complain in friendly conversations, on our own… As we keep doing that, we slowly disappear… I wonder how this society is going to wake up and who is going to do that.

Do we need a miracle so that we can cease to be a hopeless case? Miracles happen in stories, novels, films; we wait in vain.

Again, should someone do something for us so that we can find benefits in it? Again, should we wait for a savior to come? It is very difficult… You are the only one who can save yourself, you are the only one who can be your hero, but you are still not aware of it…
