CAN YOU CREATE A COUNTRY WHERE MOTHERS WON’T CRY?

ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ (GREEK) TÜRKÇE (TURKISH)

Those governing and those in charge of the competent authorities always have beautiful words to spare for every special occasion, and they made wonderful statements for “Mother’s Day”…

I always say, it’s not about saying special words for special days, it’s about what you do for them.

Mothers, of course, deserve the best, no matter how many beautiful words we say, it’s never enough.

But when countries are problematic, believe me, it is always mothers who suffer the most.

Metaphorically, in our country, we often use the expressions “our mother cried,” or “they made our mothers weep.” I remember this expression from my childhood, my father and mother used it a lot too.

You know, when we say someone’s mother cries, it means that the person is going through “a lot of distress, suffering, and exhaustion”.

Mothers of people cry in this country, both metaphorically and literally.

The people of this country have been crushed under a serious economic crisis for the past three to four years. There is a serious struggle for one’s livelihood and against impoverishment…

Many problems cannot be dealt with, the people face new problems every day.

There is also a setback in terms of democracy, serious violations of rights, and partisanship.

Equal opportunities are nonexistent.

No matter how you look at it, there are problems and difficulties everywhere.

In any case, we already write and analyze these problems every day, a new one begins before the other ends.

Indeed, the people are going through hell, and no one is coming up with solutions…

Mothers are crying not only metaphorically but also literally… Do you wonder how?

Mothers are crying because their children do not return from countries they emigrate to or from where they go to receive education, because they establish a life in other lands…

Mothers want their children by their side, but their children are abroad, and so their eyes overflow with tears…

Mothers are very sad because their children cannot establish a life around here and they consider emigrating…

Mothers cry because their children lose their lives in traffic accidents…

Mothers shed tears because their children, considered to be of young age, die of heart attacks and cancer in this country…

There are also mothers of those who lose their lives or who become disabled in work accidents, they are also crying.

Mothers are crying for their children trapped in the clutches of drugs, they are upset about the fact that we don’t even have a proper centre to treat them…

Many women, in other words, many mothers, their daughters, granddaughters, are subject to violence in this country, but there are still minds that refuse to accept the existence of violence against women.

We have a President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs in our country who tells women and mothers how to treat their husbands in bed. Women react, but men cannot remove him from office…

Of course, the value of mothers is priceless… Mothers are very important for a society, but it is not enough to express their importance in words, it must be put into action.

Can you create a country where mothers won’t cry?

That’s what needs to be done, the value given to mothers and women should be through actions, not just words…

Look; aren’t the mothers of this country the ones who suffer the most, shed the most tears in wars, pandemics, economic crises, and earthquakes…

That’s why I say, you are creating hell for this society and actually drowning mothers in tears. Can you see that?

Don’t ignore this as you celebrate “Mother’s Day”. We’ve had our share of beautiful words…
